OUR ACTIVITIES

La zona settentrionale del lago di Garda sta proponendosi anno dopo anno come la capitale mondiale dell' arrampicata. I fattori di questo successo sono molteplici. Innanzitutto l' orografia del territorio presenta pareti alte fino a 1.200 m. e falesie di bassa quota adatte all' apprendimento ed all' arrampicata sportiva; denominatore comune e' la solidita' della roccia calcarea che permette di esercitare tutte le tecniche d' arrampicata con eleganza e sicurezza. Il clima mediterraneo, mite in inverno e rinfrescato dalle brezze estive, consente di esercitare tutte le attivita' outdoor quasi tutto l' anno.
Per arrampicare non servono doti fisiche o psichiche particolari, ne e' determinante l' eta' dei partecipanti. Si consideri che nei movimenti dell' arrampicata vengono attivate quasi tutte le fibre muscolari del corpo ed inoltre vengono sollecitate le facolta' psichiche e caratteriali della persona: si tratta quindi di uno sport dei piu' completi sotto ogni punto di vista. Ai fini del buon risultato di un corso e' determinante l' attitudine dei partecipanti a muoversi in ambiente naturale e la voglia di imparare qualcosa di nuovo.
Corsi per principianti
I corsi si svolgono generalmente in questi termini:
- la zona (detta falesia o palestra di arrampicata) e' sempre una parete di roccia verticale sulla quale sono gia' tracciati dei percorsi (detti semplicemente vie) dell' altezza dai 15 ai 30 mt. - i partecipanti arrampicano con il sistema "top rop" il che significa assicurati con la corda dall' alto e pertanto possono cadere in qualsiasi momento con l' unica conseguenza di rimanere appesi ad una corda che e' in grado di tenere il peso di circa 2.000 Kg. - i partecipanti percorrono giornalmente 4 o 5 di queste vie e, con l' ausilio e l' insegnamento delle Guide alpine, imparano le posizioni ed i movimenti dell' arrampicata; - in sintesi i partecipanti acquisiscono, in tutta sicurezza, quella tecnica di arrampicata e le manovre di corda che sono la base di tutte le attivita' che si vogliano svolgere in montagna, ivi comprese le vie ferrate oppure le vie su ghiaccio; - il corso di arrampicata, svolto nelle condizioni di massima sicurezza e con un numero esiguo di allievi, consente di valutare e stimolare le capacita' e correggere anche gli eventuali problemi psicofisici di ogni singolo partecipante; - le Guide alpine, valutate le capacita', la disponibilita', e le aspirazioni di ogni singolo partecipante possono inoltre fornire utili indicazioni e consigli sul proseguo delle attivita' legate al mondo della montagna.
Corsi di perfezionamento
Il fine di questo genere di corsi e' sempre quello di consentire, ai partecipanti che ne abbiano l' aspirazione, il proseguo dell' attivita' di arrampicata in maniera autonoma. La fase iniziale del corso consiste nell' arrampicata top rop su percorsi ai limiti delle possibilita' di ogni partecipante al fine di raggiungere, in tutta sicurezza, il massimo grado di capacita', correggere eventuali difetti ed affinare il piu' possibile la tecnica. La fase successiva consiste nell' insegnamento delle tecniche, delle manovre di corda e della tattica per la progressione da primo in cordata. E' evidente che il buon successo del corso e' determinato dalle precedenti capacita' e dal numero esiguo dei partecipanti: cio' consente anche l' effettuazione di percorsi lunghi in parete (con piu' tiri di corda), qualora i partecipanti ne esprimano l' esigenza.
Corsi personalizzati intensivi
Due soli partecipanti possono fruire di tutta la capacita' didattica, maturata in venti anni di attivita', nella nostra Scuola di alpinismo di Arco. E' possibile concordare con la Scuola Guide alpine sia le giornate di attivita' sia i luoghi di arrampicata e le difficolta' in funzione delle capacita', dei desideri e finalita' didattiche dei partecipanti. Una Guida con due persone costituiscono la cordata ideale per scalare su percorsi lunghi in parete (fino a 400 metri e 12 lunghezze di corda).
Attrezzatura
Tutto il materiale occorrente per l' arrampicata (compreso il materiale personale: scarpe, imbraco, casco), viene messo a disposizione dalla nostra organizzazione, il noleggio e' compreso nel prezzo. Le nostre Guide alpine sono disponibili a fornire utili consigli anche per il successivo acquisto di attrezzature.
E se piove???
Qualche volta piove anche qui da noi ma almeno nei corsi di arrampicata di piu' giorni, le giornate perse a causa del maltempo vengono recuperate o parzialmente detratte dal prezzo del corso.
Informazioni e prenotazioni.
Le prenotazioni o richieste di informazione debbono pervenire alla nostra Scuola Guide Alpine di Arco solo tramite e-mail (guide@alpinguide.com), possibilmente con un anticipo di quindici giorni. Sia in sede di prenotazione come nel caso di richieste di informazione si prega di indicare il numero approssimativo dei partecipanti, le loro eventuali precedenti esperienze di arrampicata e tutte le indicazioni ritenute utili al fine di consentire alla nostra Organizzazione di fornire ai partecipanti un servizio preciso ed efficiente.
Assicurazione
Il nostro staff della Scuola di Alpinismo e arrampicata di Arco e' formato esclusivamente da Guide alpine diplomate e professionalmente abilitate a livello internazionale, iscritte al Collegio regionale e nazionale delle guide alpine ed in possesso di regolare assicurazione per la responsabilita' civile verso i clienti.
Per finire.....Un buon consiglio !!!
E' difficile, per chi non e' introdotto nel campo dell' arrampicata, valutare le molteplici offerte che provengono da innumerevoli associazioni, clubs, "esperti istruttori", agenzie, ecc. Buona norma e' servirsi sempre dei corsi offerti dalle guide alpine (unica figura professionalmente abilitata all' insegnamento). Consigliamo inoltre di evitare le offerte di prova (half day climbing o similari), a basso prezzo e con un elevato numero di partecipanti, costituiscono un buon affare solo per chi li propone.

INFORMATIONEN FUER DIE KLETTERKURSE

Das Gebiet noerdlich des Gardasees gilt weltweit als das wichtigste im Klettersport. Die Gruende dieses Erfolges sind vielfach: die Gegend bietet Waende bis zu 1.200 m. Hoehe und auch Klettergarten, die fuer das Sportklettern geeignet sind. Die Beschaffenheit des Kalkgesteines erlaubt es, alle Klettertechniken sicher und elegant auszuueben. Das mediteranee Klima, im Winter mild und in Sommer erfrischend, ermoeglicht fast das ganze Jahr Ueber jede Klettertaetigkeit
Die Teilnahme an einem Kletterkurs ist altersunabhaengig und es sind keine speziellen physischen Voraussetzungen notwendig. Man sollte sich gern in der freien Natur aufhalten und Lust auf Neues haben. Das Klettern kann als eine der allumfassendsten Sportarten verstanden werden, da nicht nur fast alle Muskeln des Koerpers zum Einsatz kommen, sondern auch Kopf und Verstand gefordert werden.
Kletterkurs fuer Anfaenger:
Was bedeutet das genau?
In den Klettergebieten (oft auch Klettergaerten genannt) befinden sich auf den vertikalen Waenden, meist mit Bohrhaken ausgeruestete, ca. 15-35 m lange Fuehren (auf italienisch Via). Die Teilnehmer klettern im "top-rope" Verfahren. Das an einem Standplatz eingehaengte Seil sichert die Kletterer von oben. Der Kletterer kann also praktisch in jedem Moment stuerzen und es passiert nichts ausser, dass er am vom oben kommenden Seil haengen bleibt. Ein Seil, das bis ca. 2.000 kg haelt. Ein Kletterkurstag in den Klettergebieten dauert an die vier bis fuenf Stunden. Ein staatlich gepruefter Bergfuehrer lehrt Knoten-, Sicherungs- und Klettertechnik. Das Erlernen dieser Techniken ist die Grundlage fuer jede Art von Bergsport, wie z.B. Klettersteige oder auch Touren auf dem Eis. Sicherheit im Kletterkurs ist unser oberstes Gebot. Wir ziehen es vor, die Kurse mit einer geringen Teilnehmerzahl durchzufuehren, um zu einen grossen Kurserfolg zu gewaehrleisten. Das heisst, jeder Teilnehmer kommt voll auf seine Kosten und verschwendet keine Zeit damit zu warten bis man an der Reihe ist. Der Bergfuehrer hat somit auch die Moeglichkeit auf jede Person individuell einzugehen, diese zu bewerten, deren Fehler zu korrigieren und dazu beizutragen grosse Kletterfortschritte zu erzielen. Auch ist er ein guter Ratgeber fuer jede Art von Informationen, die mit dem Bergsport zusammen haengen.
Kletterkurs fuer Fortgeschrittene:
Das Kursziel der meisten Teilnehmer eines Fortgeschrittenenkurses liegt darin, nach Kursende selbstaendig zu klettern. Bei Kursanfang wird zunaechst noch top-rope geklettert, und zwar auf Touren, die an die maximale Leistungsgrenze der Teilnehmer gehen, mit dem Ziel, den naechst hoeheren Grad zu erreichen, eventuelle Fehler zu korrigieren und die Klettertechnik so weit als moeglich zu perfektionieren. In der darauf folgenden Kursphase wird fortgeschrittene Seiltechnik und Klettertaktik fuer Kletterer im Vorstieg gelehrt. Der Kurserfolg haengt natuerlich auch von der bereits vorhandenen Kletterfahrung ab und baut auf einer geringen Teilnehmerzahl auf dann besteht auch die Moeglichkeit, Mehrseillaengentouren durchzufuehren, falls dies von den Teilnehmern gewuenscht wird.
Persoenlicher Intensivkurs
Bei nur max. 2 Teilnehmern koennen diese von der 20 jaehrigen praktischen Klettererfahrung und didaktischen Lehrfaehigkeit unseres Bergfuehrers der Alpinschule Arco maximal profitieren. Es besteht die Moeglichkeit, die Daten, die Anzahl der Klettertage, die Klettergebiete, sowohl Schwierigkeitsgrade, als auch bestimmte Kurslehrinhalte anzufragen und mit unserer Schule abzustimmen. Ein Bergfuehrer mit 2 Gaesten bildet eine ideale Seilschaft fuer Mehrseillaengentouren (bis 400 m, ca. 12 Seillaengen).
Informationen und Reservierung
Anfragen bzw. Reservierungen sollten spaetestens 20 Tage vor Kursbeginn per E-Mail (guide@alpinguide.com) bei unserer Bergschule Arco erfolgen. Es sollte die Teilnehmerzahl, eventuell bisherige Bergerfahrung sowie alle weiteren Informationen, die fuer einen reibungslosen und erfolgreichen Kursablauf notwendig sind, angegeben werden.
Ausruestung
Saemtliches zum Klettern benoetigte Material (einschl. Klettergurt, Helm, Kletterschuhe), wird von uns auf Wunsch kostenlos zur Verfuegung gestellt. Der Verleih ist somit im Preis inbegriffen. Unsere Bergfuehrer koennen Ihnen auch wertvolle Tipps bezueglich der Anschaffung von eigenem Material geben.
Es regnet, was dann ... ???
Manchmal regnet es auch bei uns ... - es versteht sich allerdings von selbst, dass die verloren gegangenen Tage entweder nachgeholt oder vom Gesamtpreis (bei Mehrtageskursen) teilweise abgezogen werden.

INFORMATIONS FOR CLIMBING COURSES

Year after year the Northern area of the Gardalake is presenting itself as the rock climber' s capital. Responsible for this success are the facts that the area is offering walls of up to 1.200 m altitude as well as rocks and boulders suitable for rock climbing. The limestone' s structures allow to perform safely and elegantly all kinds of climbing techniques. The mediterranean climate, mild in winter and refreshing in summer, permits each kind of climbing almost throughout the whole year.
The participation in a climbing course is independent of age and does not require special physical conditions. If you love outdoor activities and, if you are anxious to discover something new, this is the right course for you. Climbing may be considered as one of the most comprehensive types of sport as you do not only need almost all of your body fibers but also your brain.
COURSE FOR BEGINNERS
A short explanation:
The climbing courses will take place in one of the many climbing areas around Arco. On natural vertical rock walls (equipped with SPIT) the participants are learning to climb by using the "top-rope" system on single pitch routes. It permits the climber to fall in any moment and all that can happen is, that the climber remains hanging on the rope - a rope which has a capacity of up to 2.000 kg - this is a maximum of security. One day of climbing has a duration of approx. 4 to 5 hours. A licensed Mountain Guide will teach knot- , belaying- and climbing techniques which are the base of every type of mountain activity such as Via ferrata (iron/ladder paths or even ice climbing). We prefer to perform our courses with a small number of participants in order to provide a maximum of service and success for each beginning climber. Thus the Mountain Guide can concentrate on each participant individually, he can evaluate and correct possible mistakes and contribute to make a large progress in climbing. You may ask our Guide for advice regarding any type of alpine activity.
ADVANCED CLIMBER' S COURSE:
The goal of most participants in advanced courses is to go climbing independently and to lead In the beginning of the course we still climb top-rope on difficult routes trying to reach the limit our your climbing capacity with the objective to attain a higher climbing degree, to correct possible mistakes and to refine your climbing technique. Next step in the course is advanced rope and climbing techniques for climbers who are leading. The success of the course depends of course on the participants' prior experience and a small number of participants (two or max . three persons); upon request it is also possible to do multi-pitch routes.
PERSONAL INTENSIVE ROCK CLIMBING COURSE
With max. 2 participants you can benefit from the didactic capacity of our mountain guide who can look back upon 20 years of teaching climbing in our Alpine School of Arco. It is possible to choose the dates, the number of climbing days as well as the venues, difficulty degrees and didactical preferences. One mountain guide with two guests is an ideal group for a multi-pitch route up to 400 m with ca. 12 pitches.
Information and reservation
Any type of requests as well as reservations should be made at least 20 days by e-mal (guide@alpinguide.com) prior to the start of the course with our Alpine School of Arco. You should indicate the number of participants, possible prior mountaineering experience as well as any information necessary to guarantee a successful and efficient course.
EQUIPMENT
All the material which is necessary for climbing will be made available free of charge by our Mountain Guides (this includes as well climbing shoes, harness, helmet). This service is included in our prices. If you need help choosing the suitable equipment, the Guides may give you some good piece of advice.
WHAT HAPPENS, IF IT RAINS ...???
Sometimes it even rains in Italy ...! It goes without saying that the lost climbing days due to rain, will either be made up for or will be partly deducted from the total price.
INSURANCE
All of our collaborators of Alpine Climbing School Arco are government licensed Mountain Guides with an international diploma and are officially registered with the regional and international Mountain Guide' s Association. With no exception, all of them have a third party indemnity insurance towards their clients.

This course is destined for persons who love trekking and via ferrate but would like to extend their knowledge in the rocks and on glaciers in order to being able to proceed in high alpine areas in safety. This is our program:
